Terms of use.

Note: These terms are a working draft for the KudiGrid pilot period. They do not constitute full legal advice or a complete commercial agreement. Formal terms will be published before general public launch.

1. Platform purpose

KudiGrid is a billing and record-keeping platform for groups that share electricity in Nigeria. KudiGrid does not sell electricity, supply power, install meters, wiring, generators, solar panels, or any electrical equipment.

2. Who can use KudiGrid

KudiGrid is for groups who already share electricity and want to track costs, record evidence, and split bills fairly. You must be at least 18 years old to create a group or become a group admin.

3. Group admin responsibilities

Group admins are responsible for inviting members, publishing accurate Power Agreements, recording honest expense records, and ensuring that billing reflects actual usage or agreed splits. KudiGrid records the data you provide — it cannot independently verify meter readings or receipts.

4. Member responsibilities

Members are responsible for paying their bills, submitting honest payment proof, and raising disputes through the platform's formal dispute process rather than outside of it.

5. Data accuracy

KudiGrid provides tools for recording readings, receipts, and evidence. The accuracy of the data entered is the responsibility of the users who enter it. KudiGrid does not independently verify meter readings, receipt amounts, or payment proof.

6. Disputes

KudiGrid provides a dispute record and resolution workflow. The platform cannot enforce payment, compel members, or act as an arbitrator. Formal legal disputes must be handled outside the platform.

7. Service availability

KudiGrid is provided on an as-is, as-available basis during the pilot period. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for data loss, service outages, or consequential damages during the pilot.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. Users will be notified of material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use KudiGrid after notification constitutes acceptance.
